Unit Flight Safety Officer (UFSO)

Course Description

Developing a basic understanding of aircraft accident/mishap prevention procedures, policies and methods is critical to military personnel assigned as unit safety officers. For this reason, (L/D)max Aviation has worked at length to provide such officers with a course that will provide them with the skills, education, and training necessary to execute the responsibilities of an additional duty unit flight safety officer for their military branch. The Unit Flight Safety Officers (UFSO) course provides all of this and more.

Course Attendees

The UFSO course provided by (L/D)max Aviation has been designed primarily to work on providing an introductory education and training course for military personnel appointed with the duties of a unit additional duty flight safety officer. These individuals will enroll in this course to develop basic knowledge military aircraft accident/mishap prevention procedures, policies and methods. Any individuals seeking an introduction to this process will benefit from taking this course.

Administration

With (L/D)max Aviation, UFSO course training will take place over the course of 4.5 days. This is classroom instruction time that includes lectures outlines and notes, up-to-date reference materials pertinent to discussions, and a final certificate of completion once all 36 hours have been completed.
