Chief of Safety in Aviation (COSA)

Course Description

Development of strong and effective safety programs at both the wing and base levels is critical in working towards a stronger military as a whole. Knowing this, (L/D)max Aviation has designed the Chief of Safety course, otherwise referred to as COSA, to provide attendees with the information and training to do just that. In addition to developing stable, efficient aviation safety programs, these military personnel will be educated on related academic subjects in an effort to enhance their systems and procedures.

Utilizing applied management rules and philosophies, actively taking part in projects, and applying outside study efforts, students participating in the COSA course will be able to apply skills and knowledge gained directly to their wing-level safety program.
